I chose to take a group of photos at my parish church, St. Lucy's Catholic Church on Gifford St. on the Near West Side of Syracuse. Those that attend -whether visitors or established members - use the Sunday service to build and sustain community in a number of ways. I tried to capture some of that in these photos from a regular service.
This 11 AM service usually has 40 to 60 people on any given Sunday.
